The American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program, Inc. (NVOP) currently serves veterans with employment and training services in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, El Paso and San Antonio, Texas. The flagship of the organization is the Veterans Service Center (VSC) located in San Antonio where a continuum of care is available to veterans in need with several programs including the Texas Veterans Outreach Program (TVOP) and the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP). Additional ancillary services are provided through NVOP’s Basic Skills Upgrade Learning Lab, clothing closet and food pantry. Assistance is provided as a single service or as a combination of services as dictated by each individual's case management plan. NVOP also offers rental assistance to homeless veterans and their families in San Antonio by helping them rapidly find stable housing with services including rental assistance, housing search, and supportive services. Assist Army Reserve Soldiers, Families, and Veterans with employment opportunities, resume writing and interview techniques. Speak to RC Soldiers and Unit Commanders about employment services and resources provided by P3\. Educate Soldiers on P3 social media and websites that advertise employment and readiness opportunities. Disseminate career opportunities and hiring event information to unit leadership and Soldiers.
We are a 25 year old non-profit that administers grant funding for tuition and educational expenses towards training and certifications in Health Care; Advanced Manufacturing; and IT/Cyber Security. We use a case management method of supporting our participants throughout their education, and assist in placement after graduation. Our mission is to strengthen the economy with highly qualified employees for in-demand, living wage careers.
